Character Active
Truly active characters usually post every two to three days, if not every day. However, since we know that real life can be a pain sometimes, we only require that a character posts once a week to maintain an active status.
Character Idle
Idle characters are those who go without posting for at least a week. Basically, in order to maintain the flow of RP, at this point, a moderator or an administrator can move a character away from the plotline so that other players aren't stuck waiting for them to reply. Players understand that other players may post around the idle character until their return.
Typically, characters fall into this category because of some real life situation. It's generally best to give people a notice you're going to be idle (for whatever reason) in the Greetings and Farewells Forum.
Idle characters don't need to alert a moderator or administrator to return to play. Just read what you've missed and continue on from there.
Character Inactive
Inactive characters are those whose player has not logged in or posted for at least a month. If a character should fall into an inactive status, the moderator may step in and NPC the character until they find a convenient exit for the character to be removed from play. Also, players understand that other players may post around the inactive character until their return. These characters will be placed in an Inactive status by an Administrator for holding if/when a player returns from an inactive state.
A PM must be sent to an Administrator to move an inactive character back into active status.
Character Death
Character deaths are a unique situation, as this is an IC status and has nothing to do with OOC activity. Sometimes, it becomes part of the plot for a character to die. Usually, a character's death takes OOC planning and is an event that could potentially shock the "roleplay" forums on a general level. Parties usually agree to a character's death ahead of time- though Koro Region does NOT guarantee a character will be completely immortal.
It should be known we don't go beheading characters for the sake of bloodshed either.
