Past threads are the general retelling of past adventures. It's a good way to build up relationships (good or bad!). Nonetheless, here's a few tips for creating your own past thread.
1. "Past" is far past... at least a year outside the current timeline, preferably longer. These are things that happened in your character history that you didn't get a chance to really write about (since, while we love to read, don't have time to read or write novels detailing every part of our character's existence).
2. Labels. Labels are key in letting us know who you're wanting to get involved with or if anyone is invited to the party! (This is otherwise known as tagging. Tag: <insert person or "open" here> so other players know what's going on!)
3. OOC notes. A good starter is perhaps giving some background information. If you can't do it ICly, then put an OOC note at the top stating some of the more specific guides for that particular RP. For example, if you want to set an RP when you were just starting out in school... give us a general timeframe of how long ago that may have been so we know where our own characters may be at that time.
4. Be reasonable. The staff try to monitor play in general, but we don't always have time to look over the stuff going on in the past threads. Therefore, try not to go too overboard? If you need some guidance- contact a staff member.
